So after what seemed like MONTHS, but in reality was only two, we were finally able to say we spent a night in the new 5th-wheel trailer! Fits and starts, beginnings and postponements seemed to be our plague, but with an okay to travel a little, we loaded up the Landmark and prepared to hit the road for the maiden voyage -- the shakedown cruise. We spent over two weeks in loading the new trailer. putting things in a "similar" location to the other 5th-wheel, or in what seemd to be a "logical" location. However, by the time we hit the road, I think our collective memory had diminished enough that we were hard-pressed to remember where we put anything! Trying to do the simplest things -- such as preparing a meal last night -- did tax the thought process a little!! (Where did I store the bottled salad dressing?) We are only a couple hundred miles from home, and we won't get outside the state for a while, but it will certainly give us the opportunity to move, relocate, eliminate or list what needs to be added by the time we return to Weslaco near the first of July. Here are some photos of the interior of the 5th-wheel ---
Stay tuned, more to come . . .
